VICKSBURG – The Dowagiac varsity tennis team dropped its second straight Wolverine Conference match on Wednesday.

The Chieftains were defeated by the host Vicksburg Bulldogs and are now 1-2 on the year.

Macy Howard and Casey Collins won at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, while the other win for the Chieftains came at No. 1 doubles with Alyssa Greenwood and Breneesha Jones.

Edwardsburg at Buchanan
BUCHANAN – The Edwardsburg tennis team edged host Buchanan Wednesday afternoon in a Lakeland Conference match 5-3.

The Eddies split the singles flights and took three out of four doubles flights to earn the conference victory.

Buchanan’s Kristine Gordon defeated Christina Boesler at No. 1 singles 3-6, 7-6 and 6-3, while at No. 4 singles, Ashley Devereaux defeated Emily Wagoner 6-3 and 6-4.

The Bucks picked up its lone doubles victory as Maddie Higgins and Allie Cornwell defeated Haley Jones and Rebekah DeWolf 6-0, 4-6 and 7-6.
