BENTON TOWNSHIP – Advance registration is still open for the Lake Michigan College annual Steven C. Silcox Spring Training 5K/10K Run and 5K Walk on Saturday, April 17.

The race is open to the public and proceeds will support the LMC Soccer Club.

The race will take place on the LMC Napier Avenue Campus and combines open road and trail racing. On race day, registration begins at 7:45 a.m. at the flag pole plaza in front of the Administration Building. The race begins at 9 a.m. A new chip timing system will be used at the race. Chips will be issued at registration.

The fee for all participants is $25 on race day. Registration forms can be picked up at several local businesses, including South Shore Health and Racquet Club, and YMCA locations in St. Joseph and Niles. The registration form can also be found at www.lakemichigancollege.edu/race.
