Adam Andersen, 18, of Niles, was sentenced to 23 to 120 months in prison after violation of probation, stemming from a 2008 criminal sexual conduct conviction against a girl under age 13.

Andersen was arrested for the violation on March 1.

Chief Probation Officer John Schultz could only say the violation involved a victim.

Andersen also requested of the court to live with his grandmother, who lives on Woodruff Street. Because the residence is within 500 feet of St. Mary’s School and living there would be a violation of a Michigan statute, he was denied his request.
