STEVENSVILLE – The Dowagiac Middle School wrestling team won 19 out of 35 matches against host Lakeshore and Coloma on Tuesday night.

“We looked great heading into our final match this weekend at Edwardsburg,” Dowagiac coach Andy Crawley said.

Winning two matches on the might were Rey Vega, Bryce Younger, Tyler Wessendorf, Phillip Kocsis and Dontae Murphy.

Vega also won an exhibition match against Laskeshore.

Winning one match on the night were David Morgan, Jason Weber, Aubrey Huston, Ken Creameans, Carl Grant, Trevor Lietz, Xavier Marquart and Andrew Lyle.

Seventh grade basketball
The Dowagiac Middle school seventh grade basketball team was defeated by Edwardsburg 26-7.

Cierra Smith led the Chieftains with five points.

Riley Daly scored the other two points for Dowagiac.
