Cassopolis man, 24, injured in snowmobile accident

A 24-year-old  Cassopolis man was injured in a snowmobile accident Sunday in LaGrangeTownship.

Sheriff Joesph. M. Underwood reports that at 12:03 a.m. his department responded to a snowmobile accident in LaGrange Township. A snowmobile driven by Corey Rhodes was going east on the snowmobile trail when he lost control of the snowmobile and crashed into some trees.

Rhodes was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital for his injuries.

Alcohol and excessive speed were a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

Cassopolis Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.
