Mr. and Mrs. Steve Magyar of South Bend proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Melissa Magyar, to Jathan Lee Rose, son of Ms. Melissa Rose and David LeRoy Rose of Mooresville, Ind.

Lauren is a graduate of St. Joseph High School and Indiana University with a master’s degree in nursing.  Lauren currently works at Memorial Hospital as a labor and delivery nurse and is employed at Indiana University in the nursing department.

Jathan is a graduate of Mooresville High School and currently a student at Ivy Tech pursuing a degree in computer network security.  He plans to graduate in December 2010.

The couple is planning an Aug. 14, 2010 wedding at St. Mary’s Church in Niles.
