Niles Check ‘n Go victim of alleged armed robbery Friday

A Niles Township business was reportedly the victim of an armed robbery Friday afternoon.

A man entered the Check ‘n Go at 1991 South 11th St. at approximately 3:51 p.m. and demanded money from the cashier, placing his hand in his pocket and alleging he had a weapon. The suspect then took an undetermined amount of money and fled out the backdoor of the business. He was last seen running north.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing a bright blue bandana covering his face and a black hooded sweatshirt with black pants.
