Grannell scores 20 to lead Niles past Berrien Springs

BERRIEN SPRINGS – Senior Jenna Grannell poured in 20 points, five rebounds, three steals and an assist to lead visiting Niles to a 55-31 non-conference victory over Berrien Springs Tuesday night.

The Lady Vikings grabbed an 18-6 advantage after one period of play and stretched it to 35-16 at the intermission.

Niles outscored the Shamrocks 20-14 in the second half to pull away to the 24-point victory.

Alex McIntee added 10 points, five rebounds and two assists for the Lady Vikings, who also got eight points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and two steals from Nichole Sly.

Savannah Wolnik chipped in with nine points.

Berrien Springs’ Amanda Bromilow tied Grannell for game-high honors with 20 points.

No other Shamrock player scored more than four points.
