Police investigate robbery at state line

Michigan State Police are searching for information regarding a strong-armed robbery in Niles on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

According to police, at approximately 4:35 p.m. on two female victims reported an unknown male suspect approached their vehicle and opened the driver’s side door. The suspect reportedly threatened both victims and assaulted the passenger, forcing her to give him her purse. The victims stated the suspect fled using what has been described as a possible 2000 silver Chevrolet four-door Impala.
Police are not releasing the suspect vehicle’s license plate number at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them immediately at 683-4411.
