The following were sentenced in Cass County Court Friday:

• Mellissa Sargent, 32, of 63620 Day Lake St., Cassopolis, was sentenced Friday to 2-20 years for operating/maintaining a methamphetamine laboratory; possession of methamphetamine; operating a vehicle without insurance and license plate; operating with no license; and operating an unregistered vehicle on May 15.

Sargent also cried during sentencing and said she chose to do those things.

“No one made them for me,” she said. Her costs totaled $722. Her terms are concurrent, and boot camp was approved if qualified.

• Malisa Paul, 29, 104 Hilton St., Cassopolis, was sentenced Friday to 330 days jail each concurrent for two counts of breaking and entering on Aug. 10 on East York Street, Cassopolis. She and two others took a television and video games. Her costs were $196.
