The search was on Thursday for good news in the Niles area.

PentaVision Integrated Digital Media, Inc. a public relations out of South Bend Ind., which helps businesses tell their stories in creative ways, was in Niles at the Bensidoun French Market as part of its “What’s Your Story” promotional movement to get good news on the air.

“We were tired of hearing about all of the bad news – businesses closings, employees being laid off. We wanted to hear the good news and celebrate these stories within our communities,” President Ryan Geist explained. “From a group of employees that raises money for a co-worker’s medical treatments to an organization coming up with unique and creative ways to continue offering their services to their constituents, despite the economy – this is the stuff that encourages all of us. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to learn the great things happening in the business community.”

Chet Horsely, PentaVision’s ‘roving reporter’ searches for such stories by stopping everyday citizens on the street.

The company asks area businesses and organizations to submit a story or nominate someone or some business with good news to tell.

One story will be selected as the winner from all submissions and the winner will receive a three-minute video produced by the PentaVision team.

The contest runs from Sept. 16, to Nov. 1, 2009. For more information and/or to submit a story, visit the contest site: www.whatsyourstorysite.com.
