KALAMAZOO – For the first time this season, the Vicksburg girls’ golf team did not win a Wolverine Conference Jamboree.
Gull Lake took top honors on Monday at Eastern Hills with a team total of 189.
Not only did the Lady Bulldogs not win the jamboree, they did not even finish second.
Otsego took runner-up honors with a 190, while Vicksburg was third with a 202.
Three Rivers finished fourth (203), Plainwell fifth (209), host Comstock sixth (217), Paw Paw seventh (219) and Dowagiac eighth (227).
South Haven and Allegan placed ninth and 10th with scores of 227 and 232 respectively.
The Chieftains earned the eighth place spot after tying with the Lady Rams based on the fifth-man scoring tiebreaker.
Otsego’s Brittany Haight won another medalist honor on Monday with a one-over-par 37.
Plainwell’s Hannah Lewis finished second with a 41.
Dowagiac was led by Haley Smith’s 54.
Shannon Keene shot 56, Cassie Stone 57, Maggie Cripe 60 and Kaye Swartz 67.
