CASSOPOLIS – The Lewis Cass Intermediate School District Board of Education announces the appointment of Robert Colby as the new county superintendent effective Nov. 1, 2009.

Mr. Colby brings to the position 30 years of education experience. He has been a special education teacher, middle school principal, local superintendent and an ISD superintendent.  Mr. Colby is currently beginning his fourth year as superintendent of Huron Intermediate School District.

He has extensive experience in the Michigan School Equity Caucus, Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, is currently a member of the Superintendents Institute of America, and has an extensive background in special education as well as career technical education.
