EDWARDSBURG – Visiting Lakeshore scored three goals in the final 17 minutes of the first half and then held on for a 3-1 victory over Edwardsburg in non-conference soccer Wednesday afternoon.

Fernando Vences opened the scoring in the 23rd minutes after Edwardsburg had dominated play for the first 10 to 15 minutes of the match, but could not find the back of the net.
Justin Brown scored the first of two goals in the 32nd minute and then concluded the first half scoring with a goal six minutes later.

The Eddies (1-2) averted the shut out in the 48th minute as Andy Boyles scored on a penalty kick.

The Eddies will be back in action on Monday when they open up Lakeland Conference play against visiting Berrien Springs.
