Dean and Dollett (Houston) Corwin were married Aug. 25, 1979, in a church on Corwin Street.

The groom (as a joke) wore a noose during the ceremony and the best man carried a shotgun.

When they were pronounced husband and wife the groomsman handed the end of the rope to the bride.

They are both 1976 graduates, Dean from DUHS, Dolly from Decatur.

They met when both worked for Jessup Door Co.

They have lived 28 of 30 years in the same place, raising three sons, Jerry (Diane Abshagen), Dennis and Jason and building their house (it’s close to completion).

Dean is employed with the Cass County Road Commission.

Dolly works for Lewis Cass Intermediate School District.
