Winter Fest features cool fun

Free sleigh rides and ice sculpting are on tap at Winter Fest in downtown New Buffalo Feb. 4-5.

The weekend includes free sleigh rides and ice sculpting on Saturday from from noon to 5 p.m.; ice skating at Judy’s Motel all weekend; Bev’s Second Season Ball Saturday night, at 6:30 p.m. at Heston Hills Banquet Center and a  Sunday breakfast at Michigan Thyme Cafe in New Buffalo.

Other activities in the area include snowmobile trails, great lakes surfing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Fairfield Inn and Suites, Grand Beach Inn, Harbor Grand Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, Lakeside Inn, Marina Grand and New Buffalo Inn and Spa are offering 20 percent, or more, discounts during this Winter Fest weekend.

“We are looking forward to furthering tourism in the off-season months by partnering with NBBA for Winter Fest,” said Vi Renner, general manager of Holiday Inn Express and Fairfield Inn and Suites.
