Edwardsburg presenting ‘7 Brides for 7 Brothers’
Edwardsburg will be performing “7 Bridges for 7 Brothers” this weekend in the Performing Arts Center.
Performances will be Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at both 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for students and senior citizens, $7 for adults and $25 for a family of five or more. Tickets will be available at the door.
It is based on the book by Lawrence Kasha and David S. Landay with music by Gene De Paul and lyrics by Johnny Mercer. It is based on the MGM film “The Sobbin Women” by Steven Vincent Benet.
There are two acts to the production and 26 cast members, along with 14 townsfolk, 10 crew members and 32 members of the pit orchestra.
The musical is directed by Megan Farison with assistant director/choreographer Catherine Wood and orchestra director Alexis Hiner.
