Forbes wins district title

GALESBURG — Cassopolis’ Dominic Forbes captured the Division 4 district title Saturday.

Forbes defeated Alex Haralson of Bellevue 7-5 in the title match.

Also advanving for the Rangers were Tyler Butrick (130), who was fourth, and Ian Montgomery (171), who was third.

For the second time in three years, Brandywine’s Chanc Ravish is a district champion.

Ravish defeated teammate Nick Wright 18-5 to claim 130-pound Division 4 Individual District championship Saturday at Bangor High School.

Also advancing to the regionals for the Bobcats were Victor Moranchel (103), Jimmie Wright (119), Nick Wright (130) and Cory Katterheinrich (285).

Both of the Wrights finished second, while Moranchel and Katterheinrich were both fourth.

The Bobcats, who will compete in the Division 4 Team Regional Wednesday in Decatur, advances five wrestlers to Saturday’s individual regional at Constantine.
