Meet the contestants of 2017 Miss Buchanan Pageant

The 2017 Miss Buchanan Pageant, “Boots are Made for Walkin’,” will be at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Buchanan High School Auditorium.

Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased in advance from any contestant or from Guys and Dolls Styling. They may also be purchased at the door on Dec. 3.

A coronation ball will follow the pageant at American Legion Post 51. Tickets will be $5 at the door.

Elizabeth Kuntz

Elizabeth Kuntz, 17, is the daughter of John and Cindy Kuntz.

After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year university to study nursing.

She is currently involved with SADD, is serving as secretary of the student council and is on the varsity volleyball team.

Alexandra Tobler

Alexandra Tobler, 16, is the daughter of Matt and Sandy Tobler.

After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year university and study forensic science.

She is currently vice president of the student council, president of the national honor society, is a Herd advisor, is on the varsity volleyball team, is enrolled at Lake Michigan College and works with Leo Club and Berrien County Math and Science Center.

Alyssa Florey

Alyssa Florey, 18, is the daughter of Becky Florey.

After graduation, she plans to attend college to pursue a career in law enforcement.

She was previously involved in softball and color guard.

Shyann Foster

Shyann Foster, 17, is the daughter of Shannon Rieves and Dave Foster.

After graduation, she plans to attend Eastern Michigan University to study occupational therapy.

She is currently involved with Leo Clubs, SADD and National Honors Society.

Megan Ankrapp

Megan Ankrapp, 17, is the daughter of John and Mary Ankrapp.

After graduation, she plans to attend Lake Michigan College for two years and then transfer to a four-year university to study business.

She is currently involved in Mean Stinks and Leo Clubs, and is on the varsity softball team.

Hannah Bever

Hannah Bever, 18, is the daughter of Kraig and Denise Bever.

She is studying radiology at Lake Michigan College.

She was previously involved in student council, National Honors Society, Leo Clubs and yearbook.

Candyce Peppers

Candyce Peppers, 18, is the daughter of Marilyn Peppers.

She is studying elementary education in college.

She was previously involved in student council, Leo Clubs, SADD, Rotary Club, National Honors Society, peer-to-peer mentoring and the prom, homecoming and float committees. She played basketball, soccer and volleyball.

Lauren Capron

Lauren Capron, 17, is the daughter of Julie and David Capron.

After graduation, she plans to attend a two-year community college and then transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree in the medical field.

She is currently involved in National Honors Society, Professional Health Careers Academy and peer-to-peer mentoring.

Andrea Bair

Andrea Bair, 17, is the daughter of Robert and Angela Bair.

After graduation, she plans to attend Michigan State University to study political science. She hopes to work as a U.S. foreign officer.

She is currently involved in SADD, quiz bowl, the school newspaper and the spirit team and she plays varsity volleyball.

Lauren Roberts

Lauren Roberts, 17, is the daughter of Betty and Rick Roberts.

After graduation, she plans to attend college to major in pre-med and minor in Spanish.

She was previously involved in the Spanish club.
