SOUTH BEND, Ind. — South Bend Civic Theatre revives a community tradition, performing the beloved musical Fiddler on the Roof at the Fischgrund Center for the Performing Arts at St. Patrick’s County Park this summer.

Winner of 10 Tony Awards, Fiddler On The Roof is set in the little village of Anatevka and tells the story of Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.

Bring your family and friends to this fantastic show that celebrates family, music and community under the stars at St. Patrick’s Park. Spread out your blanket, open your picnic basket and get ready to hear musical theatre favorites like “Matchmaker,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Tradition.” Featuring over 70 community actors and a full orchestra, this will be the must-see event of the summer! David Case directs with Roy Bronkema as Music Director.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, Saturday, Aug. 1, Friday, Aug.. 7 and Saturday, Aug. 8. Seating is general admission.

The gate will open at 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $17 (includes a $2 parking fee), tickets for children under 18 years are $5. For tickets, call the SBCT Box Office at 574-234-1112 or online at sbct.org. Group discounts are available! Call the Box Office for more information.
