Cubs great Jenkins coming to Four Winds Field

SOUTH BEND — Tickets are now available for a special VIP Meet and Greet with Chicago Cubs pitching legend and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins on Tuesday, April 19 as the South Bend Cubs face the Bowling Green Hot Rods.

Jenkins had pitched for the Chicago Cubs from 1967-1972. In his career, he pitched in over 4,500 innings and was the first player ever to strikeout more than 3,000 batters while accumulating less than 1,000 walks. He won the Cy Young Award in 1971 and was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991. The Cubs retired his number 31 in 2009.

Included in the VIP Meet & Greet, presented by Miller Lite, is a seat in the Pepsi Stadium Club, two hour All-You-Can-Eat Ballpark Buffet, a South Bend Cubs hat and the guaranteed opportunity to meet and get the autograph of Fergie Jenkins.

Only 100 VIP packages will be offered and available for only $50. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the South Bend Cubs Main Office, by calling (574) 235-9988 or online at SouthBendCubs.com.
