DVDs detail ‘Food for Thought”
Dynamic Health invites the public to a free showing of “Food for Thought: Nutrition’s Link to Mood, Memory, Learning and Behavior,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Dowagiac Seventh-day Adventist Church, 410 Hill St.
There will be two DVD interviews hosted by Vicki Griffin, MPA, MACN.
The first is with Dr. Barbara Reed Stitt, who as a parole officer saw firsthand the results of poor nutrition on teenagers.
She went on to open Natural Ovens Bakery and has pioneered healthy nutrition for school-age children.
She has also written a book, “Food and Behavior: A Natural Connection.”
The second interview is with Dr. Bernell Baldwin, a neurophysiology professor. He explores how nutrition helps the brain function better, even protecting it against dementia.
One last highlight of the evening will be the story of the Appleton Central Alternative Middle School experience.
There will be a free supper at 6 p.m. followed by the DVD presentation.
