EDWARDSBURG – Dolores Fay Ralph, 78, of Eagle Lake, Edwardsburg, passed to her rest August 18, 2013 at the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart Ind., after a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 7, 1935 in Cassopolis, the daughter of William and Florence (Eddy) Valentine and she grew up near Edwardsburg where she graduated from Edwardsburg High School.

Dolores had been employed at Miles Lab (Bayer Corp.), in Elkhart in the Accounts Receivable office. She was a long time member of the Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church and the Golden Agers. She loved being with her family and spending time with them camping. She also loved being in her garden among her flowers. Her joy was her great-grand baby, Emeri Goins.

Dolores was married Oct.  20, 1956 in the Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church, as Dolores Valentine, to James W. Ralph, and he survives along with their children; James A. (Paula) Ralph of  Edwardsburg, and Michele (Donald) Ryll of Cassopolis. There are two grandchildren; Justin (Kelli) Goins of Cassopolis and Jennifer Goins of Elkhart, also a step-grandson, Kenneth Ryll of Florida, and the loving great-grandson, Emeri Goins.

Also surviving is a sister June (Stan) Disher of Edwardsburg. Family who have passed are her parents and a sister Lorraine Hiatt of Florida.

There will be a graveside Memorial Service at a later date in the Edwardsburg Cemetery, with the Rev. Scott Scheel, pastor of the Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church will meet with the family.

It is suggested that Memorial Donations may be directed to the Hospice Foundation, 22579 Old US-20 east, Elkhart, IN 46516.
