Ritchey, Eddies win

DECATUR – Aubrey Ritchey and the Edwardsburg girls cross country team won the Decatur Raider Invitational Saturday.

Ritchey was the overall winner with a time of 20:14. Edwardsburg also had Kristen Miller finish sixth (23:00) and Katy Thomas finish seventh (23:01).

The Eddies finished with 32 points, while Hartford was second with 37 and Bloomingdale third with 60.

Finishing in the Top 15 for Edwardsburg were Gianna Haller (12th), Brittany Udell (14th) and Isabella Peak (15th).

The Edwardsburg boys team was fourth.

Hartford won the team title with 48 points. Decatur was second with 53 and New Buffalo third with 57. The Eddies had 58 points.

New Buffalo’s Cameron English was the individual champion with a time of 18:11.

Edwardsburg’s Michael Higley was fourth with a time of 19:03, while Andrew Van Kirk was seventh with a time of 19:31.
