Wesner’s 26 points leads Bucks to victory

The Buchanan basketball team remained undefeated with a 56-39 win over visiting New Buffalo in its BCS Athletic Conference West Division and home opener Friday night.

The Bucks (2-0, 1-0 West) outscored the Bison (1-1, 1-1 West) 26-16 in the first half to open up 10-point (26-16) advantage at halftime.

Buchanan led 40-28 headed into the fourth quarter.

Brooke Wesner had a huge night for the Bucks as she scored a game-high 26 points. She was the lone Buchanan player to reach double digits.

Anna Barduck led the Bison with 12 points.
