Brandywine splits with Buchanan in BCS softball
BUCHANAN — Visiting Brandywine earned a BCS Athletic Conference split with Buchanan Tuesday.
The Bucks defeated the Bobcats 6-5 in the opening game, but Brandywine rallied to take the nightcap 10-8. The second game was stopped after six innings due to darkness.
Erica Donathen doubled and homered for Buchanan in the first game. The Bucks also got a double from Taylor Reed.
Brandywine’s Makenna Hartline tripled and homered for the Bobcats, who also got a triple from Sydney Carlson and doubles from Lexi Kwieran, Michaela Hartline, Morgan Crocker and Grace Polomcak.
In the second game, Polomcak homered, while Crocker had two doubles. Michaela Hartline also had a double.
Jade Mosier tripled for the Bucks, who also got doubles from Sami Luzadre and Taylor Reed.
