Borgess-Lee outing raises over $17,000

The Borgess-Lee Memorial Golf Outing at Spruce Ridge Golf Club raised over $17,000 Friday.

The team of Jim Eckman, Scott Nate, Marc Weller and Dave Ickes took home first place after finishing the four-person scramble with a score of 55.

The team of Dr. Krishna Jain, Jimmie Good, Dave and Debbie Hagemann came in second.

Ryan Laylin was the winner of the men’s longest drive on No. 8, while Phil Buchanan won the men’s longest drive for those over age 60 on No. 1.

Tracy Steagull won the women’s longest drive on No. 8 and Sally Matthews won the women’s longest drive for those over 60 on No. 8.

The closest to the pin female winner was Veronica Drenth. The men’s closest to the pin contest did not have a winner.

Last year’s outing raised over $16,000.

This year’s outing is raising money to purchase digital mammography technology that will benefit women throughout Cass County.
