The 19th annual Berrien County Cancer Service bike ride will be held June 22.

This year’s ride offers routes for the experienced cyclists as well as family friendly distances. Experiences cyclists riding 100K or 42 miles will enjoy the routes going east of BCCS riding through the rolling hills, farmlands and fruit orchards of Eau Claire and Berrien Springs. The 25- and 15-mile routes are family oriented with flat terrain and some rolling hills with the Sag at scenic Baroda Township Park at Hess Lake.

The ride will start and finish from the Berrien County Cancer Service, 7301 Red Arrow Highway in Stevensville. Riders may hit the route between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

All riders must be off the route by 2 p.m. Sag stops with free, healthy refreshments will be spread throughout the course and sag wagons will follow the ride to provide emergency support for both riders and bicycles.

The cost is $20 for an individual or $35 for a family with an additional cost of $5 after June 13. T-shirts are available for purchase for $15. Registration for the bike ride may be made on the website, by calling (269) 429-3281 or on the day of the bike ride.

Congratulations to Brooke Stein of New Buffalo Middle School. The Berrien County Cancer Service chose her artwork titled, “Hope” to be featured on bike ride posters and T-shirts. The bike ride poster with the artwork may be viewed on the website:  bccancerservice.org.
