Register for this year’s Berrien County Relay for Life from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9  at the Orchards Mall on Napier Avenue, Benton Harbor.
Team captains and individuals can pick up Relay materials at this open house. Volunteers and committee members will be on hand to answer questions and help with registration.  At 7 p.m. the committee will also be announcing 2011Team of Excellence awards, as well as giving out prizes won by teams during the December online challenge.  Refreshments will be served.
The 2012 Berrien County Relay for Life is June 23-24 at the Berrien County Youth Fair Grounds in Berrien Springs. This year’s theme is, “Dance Away Cancer.”
Those unable to attend the kickoff can also go to www.cancer.org and search for the Berrien County event to register a team.
Last year, tclose to 80 teams that participated in the Berrien County Relay for Life and raised more than $350,000 to help fund programs such as, “Reach to Recovery,” “ Look Good, Feel Better” and “the Hope Lodges” that help area cancer patients. Part of the money raised also goes to grants for scientific cancer research.
