One injured in two-vehicle Mason Township crash

MASON TOWNSHIP — A South Bend woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday in Mason Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 8:51 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Old M 205 and Redfield Street in Mason Township.

The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Kyle Clay Alley, 35, of Burr Oak, was eastbound on Redfield Street at M 205 when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Alley’s vehicle was then struck by a southbound vehicle driven by Ray Albert Walls II, 21, of Elkhart, Ind. Alley’s passenger, Josclynn Nichole Hankinson, 20, of South Bend, Ind., was transported by SEPSA Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.  Alcohol may have been a factor in the traffic crash.

Assisting agencies on scene were Edwardsburg Ontwa Police Department, SEPSA Ambulance, and SEPSA Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation.
