December 24, 1949 – October 7, 2025

Kathy Ann (Krassow) Hamilton, a lifelong resident of Niles, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on December 24, 1949, to the late Richard and Betty (Hemphill) Krassow, Kathy’s warm presence and gentle spirit were a blessing to all who knew her.

Kathy’s early years in Niles were filled with the love and camaraderie of her family. She was the cherished sister of Elwood (Goldie) Krassow, Craig (Pam) Krassow and David Krassow. The bond she shared with her brothers was one of mutual respect and affection, a connection that only deepened with time. Her marriage to Jake Hamilton, who preceded her in death, was a testament to enduring love and partnership.

Professionally, Kathy dedicated many years of service to Niles Precision, where her keen eye and meticulous nature earned her the role of a respected inspector. Her colleagues remember her not only for her professional acumen but for her extraordinary kindness. Kathy’s willingness to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she worked with.

Beyond her work, Kathy was known for her diverse interests and hobbies. She had a profound love for her German Shepherds, devoting countless hours to their care and training. Her passion for reading was unmatched, with a library of books that was as varied as it was extensive. Kathy also found enjoyment in sewing and she could sew anything with a precision that mirrored her professional life. Her creations were expressions of her love and thoughtfulness.

Those who knew Kathy would describe her as loving, gentle, and thoughtful. Her actions spoke volumes, and she lived a life that embodied these qualities every day. She was a listener, a confidante, and a friend who approached every situation with empathy and grace. Her nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends, will carry forward the wisdom and compassion she imparted.

Kathy’s departure leaves a void in the community of Niles, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to Kathy Ann (Krassow) Hamilton, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that brought joy and comfort to others.
