BRIDGMAN — The Buchanan volleyball team finished with a 4-2 record Saturday at the Bridgman Invite, ultimately falling in the finals to Michigan Lutheran.

In the finals, Buchanan lost to the Titans with scores of 20-25 and 21-25. Earlier in the tournament, the Bucks defeated White Pigeon (21-13, 21-18), Red Arrow (21-16, 21-6) and Berrien Springs (21-16, 21-11). They split a match against Bridgman (21-15, 19-21), winning by points.

Gabby Carson led the team with 25 kills, followed by Ella Fanslow with 21 and Kenzie Boller with 18. Sydney Denison had 15 kills, Abby Bosse had seven, and Kate Holloway had five.

On defense, Emily Holt recorded 33 digs and Finley Kehoe had 25. Fanslow added 22 digs, while Haylee Legault had 11 and Morgan Weldy nine. Weldy was the assist leader for the day with 93. Denison led the team with 10 aces and Legault added five.

 The Bucks’ overall record is now 12-7.
