CALEDONIA – The Edwardsburg varsity girls’ volleyball team sharpened its skills by participating in Saturday’s prestigious Caledonia Tournament where the Lady Eddies placed sixth out of 10 schools. 

Edwardsburg lost to Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central 24-26, 25-15, 14-16; fell to Grand Rapids Forest Hills; lost to Byron Center 17-25, 22-25; beat Traverse City St. Francis 25-20, 25-20 and fell to Mattawan 25-18, 18-25, 13-15. 

Sarah Pippin had 39 kills, 18 digs, one block, five aces and four assists for Edwardsburg. Ella Laskowski produced 24 kills, 14 digs, three blocks and one ace. Rylie Rosenkrantz added six kills, 24 digs, a pair of blocks, one aces and 84 assists. Mya Eberlein finished with 20 kills, 12 blocks, eight digs and seven aces. Shelby Laubach pitched in with 10 kills and two blocks. Courtney Zache had 12 kills, 17 digs, one block and seven aces. Sophia Kuntz had 34 digs, four aces and six assists for the Lady Eddies, now 12-6.
