DOWAGIAC — The Michigan Department of Transportation and contractor Reith-Riley Construction Co. Inc. will be resurfacing almost eight miles of M-62 from M-140 to M-51 beginning next week.

The $2.1 million investment, which is scheduled to begin Monday, July 7 and end Thursday, July 31, includes hot-mix asphalt cold milling and resurfacing, plus pavement markings. This project aims to seal the pavement and extend the surface life of the roadway.

Drivers can expect single-lane closures with traffic regulators. Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 20 jobs.
