ONTWA TOWNSHIP — A narcotics investigation led to the arrest of a woman Friday in Ontwa Township, according to the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team.

At approximately 10 a.m. Friday, the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team conducted a joint investigation with the Michigan Department of Corrections. Detectives responded to a residence in the 70000 block of Elkhart Road in Ontwa Township. 

While searching the residence, detectives located methamphetamine. Detectives arrested a 37-year-old female for possession of methamphetamine. The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment on the charges in the 4th district court. The investigation is still ongoing. Agencies assisting with the investigation were the Michigan Department of Correction, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and Ontwa Police Department.
