Two arrested following multi-state police chase

MASON TOWNSHIP — Two juveniles were arrested Saturday morning in Indiana following a police chase that began in Michigan, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Clint Roach reports that at approximately 12:59 a.m., deputies responded to an in-progress Larceny from a motor vehicle on Kristy Lane in Mason Township.
When Deputies arrived on scene, they located a stolen vehicle. Deputies then located the suspect’s vehicle, which fled from deputies leading them on a pursuit into Indiana. The suspect’s vehicle came to a stop in Elkhart, Indiana, where the suspects fled on foot with deputies continuing to pursue.
Officers located two juvenile suspects who were taken into custody. The vehicle being driven by the suspects was stolen. While on the scene, deputies recovered a firearm and other stolen property. Due to the age of the juveniles, their names will not be released.
