DOWAGIAC — Fundraising for Dowagiac Connected’s annual fireworks display is in full swing with a $2,000 donation from Lyons Industries. 

This year’s show is slated for June 27 at dusk around the airport. 

“Lyons Industries, Inc. is proud to sponsor the Dowagiac June 27th Fireworks,” said Lyons Industries President Lance Lyons. “Russom park is a wonderful place for all ages to watch this spectacular show. I always look forward to going.” 

Like last year, the event will feature food trucks and concessions at Russom Park that will open at 7 p.m.

“It’s very cool to see the growth of this event, since we took the reins from the city 12 years ago,” said event organizer Jessica Shank. “Being a small non profit group, donations like these from Lyons Industries make a huge impact on the type of show we can provide for the community.”

The fireworks show is funded entirely by community donors. Those interested in supporting the event may visit dowagiacconnected.com to give online or make a check payable to Dowagiac Connected, PO Box 586, Dowagiac, MI 49047. All donations are tax deductible.
