DOWAGIAC — A narcotics investigation led to the arrest of two individuals Thursday in Dowagiac, according to the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team.

At approximately 5 p.m. Thursday, the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team conducted a joint investigation with the Michigan Department of Corrections. Detectives responded to a residence in the 300 block of Orchard Street in Dowagiac. While searching the residence, detectives located methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia and evidence of methamphetamine distribution. Detectives arrested a 44-year-old male and a 41-year-old female. The 44-year-old male was arrested for maintaining a drug house and possession of methamphetamine and the 41-year-old female for possession of methamphetamine. The suspect’s Names are being withheld pending arraignment on the charges in the 4th district court. 

The investigation is still ongoing. Agencies assisting with the investigation were the Michigan Department of Correction, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and Dowagiac Police Department.
