MARCELLUS — The Marcellus Community Schools Board of Education appointed Dr. Michael Dunn, current Assistant Superintendent of Dowagiac Union Schools, as Superintendent, effective July 1. 

The Board selected Dr. Dunn for his experience, knowledge of Cass County education, and alignment with the established leadership profile.

Dunn, who earned his master’s in secondary education from Indiana University Northwest, has extensive education experience. He has worked as an English teacher, curriculum director, adjunct professor and elementary principal. He also has his educational doctorate in leadership and a specialist degree in superintendency and educational system administration. 

Before joining Dowagiac as Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Dunn was the principal at  Moccasin Elementary School in Buchanan.
