CENTREVILLE — The Edwardsburg golf team finished ninth and Niles 12th at the Division 2 regional held in Centreville Thursday.

Vicksburg captured the regional championship with a score of 304, a one-stroke win over runner-up Gull Lake. Rilley Briggs and Judah McClelland of Vicksburg tied for medalist honors each with an 18-hole score of 72.

Edwardsburg finished with 331 points and Niles 351. Edwardsburg’s Ben Fish placed 21st with a score of 81 and Maverick Gates fired a score of 83. Niles’ Landon Martin and Owen Podlin each placed 34th with scores of 84.

The Bulldogs advance to the MHSAA State Finals held June 6-7 at Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.
