Clyde Kenneth Corbit,82, of Cassopolis, died peacefully in the comfort of his family’s presence. His life began November 27, 1942 in Niles the sixth of seven children born to Clyde and Agnes Corbit.
Clyde graduated from Cassopolis High School in 1961. He enjoyed being outdoors, doing things like hunting, golfing and softball. Clyde was a volunteer fire fighter for Cassopolis, where he enjoyed Water-ball with his firemen friends, bringing home many trophies. Clyde was an avid NASCAR and women’s college basketball fan. He loved to read and watch westerns, as well as, doing cross word puzzles to pass the time. Clyde had a way of communicating with his eyes, that everyone knew what he was thinking. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clyde will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by two daughters, Michele (Ken) Ramsey, Denise (Brian) Anders; three grandchildren, Joshua (Caitlyn) Miller, Ashley (Hesston) Ramsey, Dustin Anders; three great grandchildren, Bella, Lilly, Finn; brother- in- law, Rick Temple and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, May 31, 2025, at noon in Pleasant View Church of Christ 60550 Crooked Creek Road, Cassopolis.
The family prefers contributions in memory of Clyde be made to Central Cass Fire Department, 23201 M-60, Cassopolis, Michigan, 49031.
