Cassopolis Ross Beatty announces Class of 2025 Top 10

CASSOPOLIS — A group of students was honored for its efforts and excellence in the classroom over the past four years.

The Administration and staff at Cassopolis Ross Beatty High School have announced the top ten graduates from the Class of 2025. The following students have excelled both in and out of the classroom by maintaining a superb academic record, while also participating in numerous extracurricular activities and teams. Commencement will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 7 p.m. in the Cassopolis Ross Beatty High School Gymnasium.

Graduating as Valedictorian of the Class of 2025 is Nola Hawkins. Nola is the daughter of Cliff and Heather Hawkins. Throughout her time in High School, Nola participated in the Next Generation RB, Marching and Concert Band, Golf, and Basketball. She was also a Class Representative in the Student Senate during her Freshman and Sophomore years, the Student Senate Vice President during her Junior year, and the Student Senate President during her Senior year. In the fall, she plans on attending DePaul University to study Finance.

Representing the Class of 2025 as Salutatorian is Breece Cooper. Breece is the daughter of Julie Cooper. She has been a member of the Marching Band, Robotics Teams, and Science Olympiad Teams. Breece has served as Class President all four years, participated in the Educational Talent Search Program, is a member of 4-H, and is a member of the National Honor Society. In the fall, Breece plans to attend the University of Michigan to study International Business.

Mackenzie Boyer is the daughter of Brett and Rene Boyer. During her time in High School, Kenzie has participated in Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, Next Generation RB, and participated in 4-H. In the fall, Kenzie plans on attending East Central College to continue playing softball and pursue her career in accounting. She has goals of obtaining an Associate’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree.

Ryleigh Hunsberger is the daughter of Jeremiah Hunsberger and Elecia Spansell. During her time in High School, she was a part of Varsity Softball, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and she had the pleasure of playing on the Boys Varsity Soccer Team her Senior year. In the Fall, Ryleigh plans on continuing her education at Southwestern Michigan College to pursue her degree in Elementary Education.

Madison Conner, the daughter of Mitchell Conner and Terri Conner, over the years has participated in Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Football and Basketball Cheer. She also was a member of the Student Council, Science Olympiad Teams, Student Advisory Panel for the Educational Talent Search Program, 4-H, National Honor Society, and the Robotics Team where she was Team Captain for her last two years of High School. In the Fall, Madi plans on attending Michigan State University to major in Kinesiology, to one day become an Occupational Therapist.

Olga Suarez, daughter of Ana and Hugo, is a proud American Soldier in the Army National Guard. She has dreamed of joining, since she was 10 years old, and committed the summer of her Junior year. After High School, Olga plans to ship to basic training on June 3rd and return in November to continue her studies at Southwestern Michigan College focusing on Early Childhood Education.

Adrianna Broussard is the daughter of Cherie Conner. During her time in High School, Adrianna was active in Volleyball and Science Olympiad. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. In the Fall, Adrianna plans on attending Central Michigan University to pursue a Degree in Neuroscience. 

Brayden Lee Rice is the son of Owen and Marci Rice. During his time in High School, Brayden has been an active member of the Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and the Robotics Teams. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is a Dual-Enrolled Student at Southwestern Michigan College. In the Fall, Brayden plans on attending Southwestern Michigan College to obtain his Associates Degree, and then transfer to Michigan State University to study Animal Science.

Savanna Chamberlin is the daughter of Joe and Kelli Chamberlin. Throughout her high school years, Savanna has been active in the Marching Band, Concert Band, and the Drama Club. She has also participated in Science Olympiad, Student Senate, and is a member of theNational Honor Society. After High School, Savanna plans to attend Michiana Beauty College, where she will receive her Cosmetology Degree. Her future plans include being a Hairstylist and perhaps owning her own Salon someday.

Jennifer Blair is the daughter of Todd and Kimberly Hartsell. While in High School, Jenny was a part of Concert Band, Varsity Marching Band, Jazz Band, The Drama Club, and Choir. She was a Student Senate Representative, during her Sophomore year, and is a member of The National Honor Society. In her free time, Jennifer volunteered at a local coffee shop during her Junior year, and in her Senior year, she worked as a Pizza Chef at Porky’s. In the Fall, Jennifer plans on attending Western Michigan University to play in the Bronco Marching Band while studying Art Restoration.
