HOLLAND — The Dowagiac Chamber Choir competed in its first-ever Michigan School Vocal Music Association State Festival Monday at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts on the Campus of Hope College in Holland.
It was the first time any Dowagiac choir had gone to state.
Under the Direction of Hunter Schuur and the accompaniment of Steve Zebell, the chamber choir earned a Division II rating after performing “Duermete” by Victor C. Johnson, “II Lampo” by Ryan Main and “The Lonesome Road” by Earlene Rentz.
