JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP — A person was injured Sunday after the vehicle they were in left the road and rolled over in Jefferson Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 2:02 a.m. Sunday, deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Oak Grove Road and M-60 in Jefferson Township.

The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Ariana Watkins, 25, of Niles, failed to navigate the right turn onto M-60 and veered off the roadway and rolled the vehicle.

Watkins had a juvenile passenger who was transported by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. It is unknown if a seat belt was worn.

Assisting agencies were Central Cass Fire Department and Edwardsburg Ambulance.
