WAYNE TOWNSHIP — A man was killed in a mobile home fire Monday morning, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., CCSO deputies responded to a house fire at 55550 Twin Lake Rd. in Wayne Township. The investigation showed that a Mobile Home Trailer caught fire and by the time fire crews were able to put the fire out, a male inside the home had succumbed to the fire. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Assisting agencies were Central Cass Fire Department, Wayne Fire Department, Dowagiac Fire Department and SMCAS Ambulance.

The incident remains under investigation.
