Edwardsburg girls beat Berrien Springs 53-45 to earn D2 district title

BERRIEN SPRINGS — The Edwardsburg girls basketball team earned a championship trophy Friday in Berrien Springs.

The Eddies defeated Berrien Springs 53-45 to earn a Division 2 district championship. Shelby Laubach led the team with 16 points and Maddie Pobuda scored 14 and Kya Shier added 10. Edwaardsburg led 35-21 at halftime.

The Eddies (15-9) advance to face Vicksburg (22-2) at 7 p.m. Monday at Byron Center. The Bulldogs won both regular season games against the Eddies.
