DOWAGIAC — SMC sophomore and former Edwardsburg standout Nathan Andrina was named MCCAA Wrestler of the Year after winning the 184-lb. weight class at the conference championships Sunday, Feb. 9. 

Andrina, who was honored as MCCAA Wrestler of the Week twice earlier this season, is currently ranked No. 10 in the nation in his class with a season record of 25-4. He defeated Christian Byrne of Henry Ford College in a 7-2 decision, helping his team win a third-straight MCCAA team championship in as many years. 

Andrina and the Roadrunners will next hit the mat on Feb. 23 at the Great Lakes District meet in Palatine, Illinois.
