BATTLE CREEK — Senior Rebecca Guernsey, of Dowagiac, shot a 163 to place sixth overall at the Division 3 Michigan High School Athletic Association LP Girls Golf Finals in Battle Creek last weekend.

Guernsey (80, 83) led the way for the Chieftains, who placed 15th overall as a team. Senior Carlee Spagnoli fired a 95 in round one and a 105 in round two for a score of 200; junior Jaden Kusch talllied 108 in round one and 114 in round two for a score of 222, junior Olivia Stockwell totaled a 122 in round one and 135 in two for 257 and senior Madison Winchester fired a 130 in round one and 116 in round two for 246 to round out scoring for the Chieftains. 

Edwardsburg junior Jada Gaideski fired a 91 in the first round and a 98 in the second for a total of 189, good for 44th place.
