Granger resident killed when motorcycle crashes into trees in Jefferson Township

CASSOPOLIS — A 22-year-old Granger, Indiana man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck multiple trees in Jefferson Township Saturday afternoon.
Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the personal injury accident near Dailey Road and Jefferson Center Street at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Investigation shows that the Granger resident was traveling northbound on Dailey, just north of Jefferson Center, when he lost control of his motorcycle to the right, which caused him to hit multiple trees. The motorcycle came to rest down an embankment after hitting the trees. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the motorcycle was wearing his helmet.
Speed does appear to be a factor in this crash. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol and drugs were a factor in this crash. This crash remains under investigation
