Mattie L. Beaudoin, 72, of Niles, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020, at her home, with her loving family by her side.

Mattie was born on Oct. 22, 1947, in Niles, to the late Charles and Marjorie (Gouldman) Jarman.

On March 2, 1971, she wed Bernard “Bernie” Beaudoin, in Niles. Mattie and Bernie were members of the Goldwing Road Riding Association; together they traveled all over the U.S.

Mattie was a true homemaker in every sense of the word. Her home welcomed many families, along with children, a few she adopted as her own. Mattie enjoyed many different collectables over the years, from butterflies to dolls. Her family was the most important part of her life, she would often gift them with a crocheted treasure, that she had put many long, love filled hours into.

In her quiet moments, you would find her watching the wildlife outside her window, the animals she surrounded herself with brought her great peace and comfort. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jeff and Rex Jarman; and her daughter, Kimberly Beaudoin. 

Mattie is survived by her children; Brian Beaudoin, Keith (Jennifer) Beaudoin, Jeff (Tina Wieczorek) McMenamin, Tim McMenamin and Susan (Shane) Southard; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and her niece, Loretta Halsey.

A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at her home, 1382 Airport Road, Niles, MI 49120.
